NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — More than a dozen mothers gathered in New Haven today to show their support for Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.
Connecticut Moms 4 Hillary held a rally at Pitkin Plaza in downtown New Haven.
“I am here today because I do support Hillary Clinton and I am here to bring awareness as a mother,” said Lynette Hazelwood, a member of Mothers Demand Action.
The Clinton supporters held signs and spoke about why they thought she would be good for the city and for Connecticut. New Haven Mayor Toni Harp was there to show her support.
“Hillary really stands with us to say that we don’t want to have any of our children threatened by gun violence in our urban areas or anywhere in our state,” she said.
The Connecticut presidential primary election will be held on April 26.
