ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — Firefighters responded to a barber shop in Orange on Sunday morning after it filled with smoke. A rooftop heating unit malfunctioned at Popular Demand Barber Shop. Employees saw smoke and called 911. Crews shut the unit off.
“We did check the adjoining establishments to make sure that there was nothing going on in there and there wasn’t,” said John Knight, Chief of the Orange Fire Department.
The shop was open again shortly afterward. No one was hurt.
