EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The Easter Bunny stopped by the Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven on Saturday.
The Easter celebration was the museum’s first event of the year. Kids met the Easter Bunny and went on a scavenger hunt. They also got their faces painted and made their own Easter crafts to take home.
Families rode on 100-year-old trolley cars while they were there. Organizers say this was a great way for families to spend time together around Easter.
“I hope they get an appreciation for the history, that their great great grandparents probably rode on a trolley like this to go to school or to go to work,” said Wayne Sandford, Shore Line Trolley Museum President.
There were more than a dozen trolley cars at the event for families to explore.
