HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Firefighters were on the scene of a structure fire in Hartford on Heath Street Friday morning.
Firefighters say that a fire was reported on Heath Street at 4:45 a.m.

All visible flames were quickly extinguished but crews remained at the scene to check for hot spots. There are no injuries reported at this time.
Heath Street was closed for a while as crews investigated.
The fire started on the second floor of a mixed use building. There is a barber shop on the first floor. The second floor and attic above it were under construction and vacant. The building was empty when the fire started.
The cause of the fire is unknown. The fire marshal is investigating.
