There are departures at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. You’ll get to visit with the Easter Bunny while you ride the train.
A huge egg hunt is another egg-cellent way to get excited about Easter. Egg Your City is three egg hunts combined in one in Wallingford. Search for 20,000 candy filled eggs – and don’t forget to bring a basket to put them in. It starts on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lyman Hall High School. And it’s free.
Are you looking to get outside this weekend? The Running With Scissors 5K and walk is this Saturday at Sears Park in East Hampton. Like running with scissors, heart disease is dangerous. All the money raised will go to the Women’s Heart Wellness Center at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. It starts at 10 a.m.

Or if you’d like to decorate your very own Easter eggs this weekend, hop on over to Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic. Bring a basket and hunt for wooden eggs out on the trails, then decorate them.
You and your kids will meet some egg laying animals and a bunny. It starts on Saturday morning at 10.
How would you and your kids like to learn how to make your very own wooden toys? You can at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury on Saturday. You’ll learn how to safely use basic woodworking tools to make a wooden rake and rubber band powered paddle boat. It starts at 1 p.m.
Do you have the need for speed this weekend? Norwalk Karting Association is having its first race of the spring season. Watch the karts and maybe meet some of the racers. That’s this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk.
